The Sands of Time Remake: AC’s Anvil engine, Release Date and Price

The latest Ubisoft Forward event brought intriguing details on the upcoming video game, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. According to the studio, the game will be released in 2021. PC players will be able to get the game from Epic Games Store as well as Ubisoft Store. The video game will also be available on all console platforms soon.

The Sands of Time Remake runs on AC’s Anvil engine

The Sands of Time game from 2003 is considered the best version of the Prince of Persia series. Reviewers have positive opinions about the classic game, reaching almost a perfect score. Therefore, waiting for the remake release is exciting.

The classic Sands of Time was the first 3D version of the Prince of Persia series. The upcoming game will run on AC’s Anvil engine. That means each title will bring out the other. Currently, Ubisoft Mumbai and Ubisoft Pune are working on this project.

Remake trailer

The classic Sands of Time game was a huge success. Therefore, people expect the same thing from the Remake. However, so far, we don’t see anything impressive. I have to admit; the trailer is a bit disappointing.

Judging the latest trailer released by Ubisoft, I see some pretty weird lighting effects. The character’s design is not close to stellar either. The facial animation is a bit odd. I know the studio can do a lot more when it comes to graphics and style, so hopefully, they will make some changes before releasing the game officially.

Leaving the negativity behind, the Remake features actor Yuri Lowenthal as The Prince and actress Supinder Wraich as Farah. We are happy to the classic prince back in his role.

Release Date and Price

The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is coming out on January 21, 2021. Fans can acquire it for $40.
