The Samsung Galaxy S21 – Packing Serious Speed! UK Users Will Have Access To It Too!

UK fans of the Samsung Galaxy lineup had a tough time lately, seemingly having to make do with a lower quality device than those in the US.

The Good News

Thankfully, next year’s Galaxy S21 (Or S30, who knows?) could be a first-time game-changer for UK users.

The Exynos vs. Snapdragon dispute was a problem for US customers for some time. It became more irritating with the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, as the Exynos version returned lower benchmarks and weaker battery.

Hopes are high, as the Exynos 1000 chip is right around the horizon.

The news comes from the latest Geekbench scores posted on a Korean forum.

The results are from a Galaxy S21 packing a Snapdragon 875 chip and a Galaxy S21 packing the Exynos 1000 flagship chip.

Unfortunately, the posts didn’t include screenshots of the results, and they originate on a forum rather than a trustworthy source of information.

However, that’s not necessarily bad. It just means that you should take the information with a grain of salt.

Results

The Exynos 1000 model achieved a single-core score of 1302 and a multi-core score of 4250.

The Snapdragon variant returned 1159 and 4090, accordingly.

If the benchmarks are real, then those are indeed pre-production models of the flagships, which means that Samsung can make some minor (or major) changes).

Nevertheless, there is hope for UK fans of the lineup who feel like the Exynos / Snapdragon situation is unfair, mostly because they pay the same price a less capable product.

However, nothing is known about battery life, which was always a serious concern in the Exynos vs. Snapdragon race.
