England’s main football championship Premier League is back in business after a break of seven weeks. The COVID-19 pandemic interrupted a lot of sports competitions throughout the world, but things are slowly starting to return to normal.
English clubs are loading their weapons for the new season, which means that we can expect only high-quality football from them.
Chelsea, the star of the show
The legendary London-based club spent a staggering amount of almost $250 million for summer transfers. Top players like the German forward Timo Werner, the former Ajax attacking midfield Hakim Ziyech, the Brazilian center defender Thiago Silva, and Kai Havertz from Leverkusen are the highlights.
Manchester United cannot fall short, and it still hopes to sign the English winger Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund until the transfer season ends in October. The Manchester-based club also puts a lot of hope into Donny van de Beek, the player bought from Ajax for 39 million euros.
The big rival Manchester City also has something important to say for the new Premier League season. The team signed the former Valencia player Ferran Torres and Nathan Aké from Bournemouth for the highlights.
High hopes for The Reds
Liverpool, the team that won the Premier League competition, hopes to remain one of the best English clubs in the new season as well. The team has been improved with the signing of Konstantinos Tsimikas from Olympiacos. The manager Jürgen Klopp continues to have high expectations for his team, and there’s no wonder why. Liverpool also won the Champions League trophy in 2019 after defeating Tottenham with 2-0.
Premier League also has new teams this season: Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion, and Fulham. They replaced Bournemouth, Watford, and Norwich City.
Therefore, we’re very excited about the restart of Premier League, and we can be sure of new talents rising as well as old players confirming.
