Nintendo Gives Users the Chance to Play More NES and SNES Games

We have to be honest and admit that NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) and SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) games had been playing a major role in the lives of many of us. Most people began their journey as gamers with the retro 8-bit and 16-bit consoles. While nowadays perhaps no gamer would waste too much time playing such poor demanding games, those above-mentioned consoles will have a special place in our hearts forever.

But Nintendo, the notorious company that created the NES and SNES consoles, offers us all the chance to play those retro games like ‘Shadow of the Ninja’ or ‘Super Mario World again’.

Subscribe to Switch Online

Nintendo offers NES and SNES games for those people who will subscribe to the Switch Online service. Starting February 19, two new SNES games will be brought by Nintendo to its subscription service: Pop’n TwinBee, which is called a “cute-’em-up shooter,,” and the other one is the 16-bit classic Smash Tennis.

Also, two new NES titles will be added to the subscription service at some point in the current month: Shadow of the Ninja, which is a classic side-scrolling action platformer, and the boat racing game Eliminator Boat Duel.

Below you can delight your eyes with footage from the games mentioned above:

Judging by the insanely amount of views gathered in just one day, over 200,000, we can conclude that there are still plenty of people that appreciate NES and SNES games. Whether they are willing to be playing such games for hours or they are just nostalgics, it still is a pleasant surprise to see such a high number of views.

If you want to give the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service a try, it’s not mandatory that you pay the money for it. Nintendo offers a free trial of 7 days, which should be more than enough to conclude if you need the full service or not.
