Microsoft Teams is Getting Multi-Account Sign-In Support

Microsoft Teams has proved to be a great option for those willing to get involved in teamwork in an efficient way, especially during times when working from home is highly recommended. Microsoft has added to its Microsoft 365 roadmap the feature of adding multiple accounts to Microsoft Teams.

The roadmap reveals that Microsoft will enable Teams users to change their profile pictures , add additional accounts, and also switch between accounts.

Multi-account sign-in support arrives in December

The new multi-account sign-in support becomes available worldwide for Microsoft Teams users in December. Currently, users have to sign out from one account and sign into another if they want to switch to a different account.

The Play Store description of Microsoft Teams is pretty conclusive:

Microsoft Teams is your hub for teamwork, which brings together everything a team needs: chat and threaded conversations, meetings & video conferencing, calling, content collaboration with the power of Microsoft 365 applications, and the ability to create and integrate apps and workflows that your business relies on.

The description further adds:

You can now also use Microsoft Teams to manage your personal life – chat, make plans, share shopping lists, tasks and even your location, coordinate events with fellow club or family members and make decisions quickly. Teams provides a single hub to help you stay connected, get organized and bring balance to your entire life.

Microsoft Teams already offers a variety of useful features:

  • To-do lists, cloud storage access, and calendars directly in group chats
  • Securely access personal chats, documents, & files
  • Perform HD audio and video calls when scheduling face-to-face meetings
  • Mention team members or even the whole team at once when you need to get your colleagues’ attention
  • Chat one on one, use group chats or dedicated channels for communicating with an entire team

Microsoft Teams is available for Android, iOS, macOS, Linux, and of course: Windows PC.
