Kevin Durant Wants to Be Extremely Honest About Upcoming Free-Agency Decision

Kevin Durant after surprising the basketball world with his strange decision to join the Golden State Warriors two years ago, now hopes to be more transparent this time around.

Durant said “Just be honest”, about his free-agency decisions. He said he was honest with his decision, but just like outwardly if people ask him about it, he isn’t ashamed to talk about why he decided to move teams and switch teams because that is not the end of the world.

He added that he didn’t do anything against the law, and he is absolutely sure about it.

Durant can now become a free agent once again in the summer of 2019, but only if he declines his $31.5 million player option for the season 2019-20.

The nine-time All-Star was very secretive when he left the Oklahoma City Thunder. This had let to a massive backlash.

Russell Westbrook, his former teammate made a cupcake reference about Durant when he left.  A few others even went to the extent of calling him a “snake.”

Durant also did not help the situation when he tried to defend himself through burner Twitter accounts.

Two years down the line, Durant seems very happy with the decision that he made but feels he should’ve been much more stronger in defending the move.

He said on Tuesday that he thought he did something wrong, but knew deep down in his heart that it was the perfect decision for him and he knows that now he just got to stand on that, outwardly say it, and that will certainly stop the speculation from a lot of people.

It remains to be seen in the meanwhile whether he will stick with the Warriors beyond this season or go to another team.

Durant said on media day, “We’ll see what happens after the year”

Whatever he decides, he surely will be more upfront about it this time.
