The Pixel 5, Google’s next-gen smartphone, has an official release date now.
The tech giant sent press invites for a special event on September 30, where it is expected to launch the new Pixel 5 and a new Google Nest smart speaker and Chromecast device.
The company has announced the launch of the Pixel 5 and a 5G version of the Pixel 4a last month and the launch of the regular Pixel 4a in the USA.
The company also revealed that the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G wouldn’t be launched in India, unfortunately.
However, Google will still launch the Pixel 4a in India, on par with the two 5G smartphones’ global release.
Google’s Pixel devices are among the most anticipated smartphone launches each year, so there were rumors around Pixel 5. The phone is rumored to feature a 6-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
The Pixel 5 is also rumored to feature a Snapdragon 765G processor and increased battery capacity, with 15W Qi wireless charging support.
Also, Pixel 5 might feature 5W reverse wireless charging.
As for the Pixel 4a 5G, rumors say that it will feature a slightly larger 6.2-inch screen. It has been reported that the 4a 5G might pack a dual-camera array on the back, unlike the regular Pixel 4a, which features a single rear shooter.
The 5G model will probably be powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset, in tandem with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The battery is supposed to be a 3,800 mAh unit.
Stay tuned to learn more about Google’s upcoming smartphones! We can’t wait to see what they will be presenting at this month’s event.
