Bosch Season 7 release date and cast info

Are you a detective fan? Sit down and read this article. Have you watched Bosch already? If the answer is no, you, my dear friend, have some catching up to do.

Bosch is an ultimate crime based thriller series that already has six seasons. You now understand why I said you have some catching up to do if you haven’t watched the series yet. But, the great news for the fans is that a seventh season is on the way. You read that right, Bosch Season 7 is expected to release.

But what is the drama about? The main character of the series is called Harry Bosch, who is an L.A.P.D. analyst. All seasons revolve around the stories of detective Bosch.

Eric Overmyer developed the Bosch series. However, the story is based on the novels written by Michael Connelly, so check them out if you are into reading. The series received a positive opinion from both the public and critics. Plus, this is one of Amazon’s longest-running series. This Amazon Studious production was nominated for the “Outstanding Main Title Design” award.

Expected Release Date

The first episodes of the series launched early in 2014. As the public was pleased with the whole detective crime solver, the seasons kept coming. Even from the first season, people wanted more of Bosch. Not to say that the creators feel close to the series as well.

The latest season was released on April 16, 2020. However, we knew about season 7 well before its release. On February 13, 2020, Connelly confirmed the seventh and final season of the Bosch series.

“I’m proud of what we have accomplished with Bosch and look forward to completing the story in Season 7,” said Connelly. “It’s bittersweet, but all good things come to an end, and I am happy that we will be able to go out the way we want to.

However, due to the current world situation, the show was delayed. As for the release date of the next and last season, there is no official information. But, that doesn’t stop us from speculating. We assume the Bosch Season 7 will release in 2021.

Cast

The cast members of the final season will remain the same. Titus Welliver will play our precious detective Harry Bosch’s role. Here are the rest of the crew:

  • Jamie Hector as Jerry Edgar
  • Amy Aquino as Lieutenant Billets
  • Lance Reddick as Chief of Police Irvin
  • Julie Ann Emery will play F.B.I. Agent Sylvia Reece
  • DaJaun Johnson as Randall Pierce
  • Troy Evans will play Detective Johnson

Plot

All Bosch series enthusiasts can expect a fantastic trailer regardless of the plot. Although we don’t know what the actual plot is about, fans can get pretty creative. A few theories are surrounding the final season. But, we have our own speculation as well. We think the series creators will expose Bosch’s personal life in more depth.

Not to say that the creators are getting their inspiration from all sorts of books, such as The final Coyote, City of Bones, The Black Echo, Echo Park, A Darkness more than night, and many more. However, the plot will more than stick to one of the many books written by Connelly. It is also kind of obvious that the final season will end by Bosch solving his most challenging case yet, involving a serial killer murdered by a thirteen-year-old.

Storyline

To keep it short, the series is about detective Harry Bosch. He and his team are working on solving all kinds of criminal cases. The twelve-year-old boy’s case was part of the first season of the series. Creators got inspired from the books Echo Park, City of Bones, and The Concrete Blonde for season 1. The following season is based on specific books as well; however, the focus takes a different turn.
